Back Country Horsemen Society Of BC
A province wide non-profit organization with 900 members in 22 regional chapters. If you are interested in trail riding and are new to the sport or are a seasoned pro, Back Country Horsemen of BC (BCHBC) offers a friendly atmosphere for those interested in trail riding and back country recreation. The organization focuses on safety for horses and riders, environmental stewardship, trail building and maintenance and fun! Many of our members ride local urban trails and have never seen a pack horse. Some members use trail riding as a good cross training method. We ride together, English, Western and all styles in between.
Each Chapter holds regular meetings, events and rides. They have their own priorities and projects such as saving a regional trail or holding annual poker rides to raise money for equipment or facilities. Each chapter elects executive positions as mandated by the BCHBC Bylaws and Constitution.
