Animal Lifeline Emergency Reponse Team (ALERT)

ALERT is an emergency animal response tam deploying through the local authorities in the South and Central Okanagan since 1994. Wit a regional animal intake facility in Osoyoos at Desert Park Equine Facility and satellite facilities within the area, ALERT will shelter animals during disasters/emergencies. Other functions include help with Emergency Planning for hobby farms, reunification of animals and evacuation, maintenance, mortality and trapping during a Response. All at not cost. ALERT supports ESS community teams and EOCs and is a 100% volunteer registered charity. The Operations group meets monthly (in-person/zoom) and provides on-going training for volunteer members.
