Introduction:Hunter Pace September 22, 2019 10:00 - 3:00 Campbell Valley Park Join us for a fun filled day of cross country riding, visit with some of our wonderful English Fox Hounds that will be on display and chat with FVH members to learn about ‘Riding to Hounds’. Everyone welcome, spectators encouraged to come cheer on the riders and meet the hounds! Divisions: Second Field— trot/canter, optional jumps. First Field — canter/controlled gallop, jump natural obstacles. Max height —. 75m – .90m Course is approximately 3 km. A hunter pace is a competition in which the trail is marked for horse and rider to follow. The trail is rated at the speed that the First and Second fields would travel if they were fox hunting. Competitors go out in teams of three and four to ride the course - we can assign you to a group if needed. Each group of riders is timed and teams are penalized for either riding too fast or too slow off the pre-determined pace time. The team to come closest to the pace time wins the competition, whether over or under the pace time. Prizes for first and second place. Entries accepted until September 14, 2019 email [email protected] Entry forms available on the website—fraservalleyhunt.com and FVH FB page $50.00 per entry , enter twice for $75.00 ETRANSFER accepted [email protected] **Riders must be able to handle their horse in an open setting.** HCBC membership, helmets and boots required. Course available on the day. Check in starts at 9:30 am at the 208th St side entrance to CVP cross country field First team leaves at 10:00 am, then in five minute intervals Ride times will be assigned and posted on the FVH FB page before the event. October 18, 2019: Clive Milkins Clinic

Introduction:Clive is a graduate of the United Kingdom (UK) Sport Elite Coaching Program, a Fellow of Riding for the Disabled, and a Level 3 UK Certified Coach, Milkins also has a long list of qualifications in equine business management, horse management and teaching. Milkins has been involved in para-dressage for over 25 years, training horses and coaching athletes to the highest levels of success on the world stage. Most notably, he coached internationally renowned para-dressage athlete, Sophie Christiansen of Great Britain, to six Paralympic, four FEI World Equestrian Games and eight European Championship titles. With a strong passion for developing para coaching systems and programs in order to grow the sport, Milkins, originally from England, has traveled extensively, coaching in South America, South Africa and Asia. He has also worked closely with Special Olympic organizations and athletes, plus is a qualified able-bodied dressage coach. Space will be limited to 8 riders, each of which will attend 2 private 45 minute lessons (one Saturday and one Sunday). In addition to the lessons, Clive will be talking to the group (auditors welcome) in the evening on Friday October 18th.
