Horse trailer parking is available on Hardy Road for up to 3 rigs including hitching rails, manure disposal and picnic table
There are many trails in this Park, BUT only one horse/bike loop. We are in danger of losing access since some riders have been using footpaths. There are good maps within the Park. Note the restrictions for dogs off lease during the fawning season April 1 to June 30. Trails can be rocky and some are adjacent to properties which have barking dogs, fencing, chickens etc. For more information visit the Comox Valley Regional District website .
Note: Also check under Upload/Download tab to see if there are more maps available. If the map below shows red lines, these indicate ridable trails which can be downloaded to your GPS (see Upload/Download tab)
See map. Access Horse trailer parking from Huband Rd off the Old Island Hwy, turning right on Mitchell just before Huband Road turns to gravel. Head to the bend in the road and park on the shoulder. A new parking lot will be build by the fall 2019 off Hardy road that will accommodate horse trailers.

This is the future trail entrance to the new parking lot, currently under construction, on Hardy Road. The trail will provide direct access to the designated horse trailer parking area, so you won't even have to ride through the parking lot, which could at times be very busy.
