Rosebud Regional Park trail is level. Connecting trails range from level through having a steady incline to being steep with switchbacks. Rosebud Regional Park trail is 12 minutes. Other connecting trails range from 1-2 hours. A difficult loop trail is available, or easy grade back & forth. Various interconnecting trails from bush trails to powerline roads. Other than the short section of trail through the Regional Park, none of the trails are marked. Suggest contacting the Kootenay Chapter of Back Country Horsemen of BC and a guide may be available.

From Salmo, south on Highway 6. Drive 14 km. Turn right towards Nelway Border and drive 8.2 km. Turn left on Rosebud Lake Road, drive 3-5 km. Turn right into parking lot.

Very grateful to Sue for a private tour of the Rosebud Lake trails that she's worked so hard on over the years. I'd ridden the short trail along the lake and thought all the rest was boring quad trails and cut lines. I was wrong! Rode about 12km over 2.5 hours. Sue took me on some lovely singletrack through the bush that I'd never have known was there if she hadn't shown me. Great little staging area to start from and enjoy lunch and a frosty beverage (or two) and then hop on bareback and head to the lake for a cooling dip BCH-WKC Rosebud Lake ride on July 23 - do yourself a favour: clear your schedule and check it out!
