Yes there is a large day use parking area as you enter the site. The pin on the map is the parking lot.
6 Large pull through sites with two corrals per site. Manure pit. Pit toilets. Lake water for watering horses. This is a RSTBC hosted campsite. Campsites with corrals are on a first come first serve basis. The camp host will do his best to accommodate equestrians, however this is a very popular campground for all users. Fee is $15/night.
Signage has just started and some trails are now designated non-motorized. There are day use sites with corrals in the main campground or you can park in the main entrance parking lot.
Note: Also check under Upload/Download tab to see if there are more maps available. If the map below shows red lines, these indicate ridable trails which can be downloaded to your GPS (see Upload/Download tab)
14 km west of Salmon Arm on the Trans Canada Hwy, turn left onto Tappen Valley Rd, just before the Tappen overpass. Approx. 4 km further, turn left onto Skimikin Rd and travel 6.1 km to the lake.
