Haller-Grinder Trails

Horse Camping Site
This area has been ranched by successive family generations and offers tree canopy and open alpine meadows. Camping is at a BC Rec site easily accessible to big rigs. A creek provides water for horses. Great looping trails take about 6 hours each to complete. Blue and Red trails are each 17 miles, The purple loop is about 12 miles with significant elevation and great views. The Grinder Trails is the northern loop with a viewpoint high above the Fraser River. The Haller Trails is the southern loop. These are non-motorized trails.

Lots of parking for up to 15 rigs, some more level than others.
There are two camping locations - Haller is located where the ranchers corrals are. Please do not use these corrals. Grinder is a large open field area. Both have access to creek water. High-lining, electric fence, hi-ti. There is one (slightly stressed) outhouse. Use your own if you have one.
Please respect the ranching operations and don't use their infrastructure. Close gates behind you, bring your own hay and scatter manure. Cattle may be present in the area. Please check the Rec Sites and Trails BC website for more info.
Note: Also check under Files Maps Upload/Download tab to see if there are more maps available. If the map below shows red lines, these indicate ridable trails which can be downloaded to your GPS (see Files Maps Upload/Download tab)
From the south end of Clinton take Pavilion Road (aka Kelly Lake road), for 16 km to Jesmond road. Turn right. Set your odometer to zero. At the 10 km mark keep right and continue. At 23 km you'll pass Circle H Mountain lodge. 1.1 km past that (24.1 km) turn left down to the camp site.
