Illal Creek

Back Country Trail
Illal creek crosses the Tulameen Forest Service road at the 19 km marker. There is space for 2 or 3 rigs to camp/park here, and good grass and water for overnight. Highlining trees are across the road, or set up highlines between trailers. See more info for trailhead. May want to bring a chainsaw as this is an unmaintained trail.
Hope, Tulameen

Follow the spur rd about 3.5 km, climbing just 100 m , the you'll drop down and cross over a creek before beginning the forested section of the trail. Over the next 1.5 km you will ascend quite steeply through the forest following an obvious trail. You will traverse across a steep boulder field before another short stretch of trees, before breaking out of the treelike and into the lower meadows. The views will begin to open up of all the peaks surrounding the meadows. The trail will lead away from the lake towards Illal Mtn.
