We went there today, July 30, 2026. You need to book ahead and reserve a campsite. There is no day sites available and there is no trailer parking for the day available. Just a heads up to anyone that wants to go. There is a $10 day fee but there’s also nowhere to park so heads up to that no trails around the corrals just a trail that leads to the lake and it’s not really a trail. It’s just the road campsites are super cute though. They are a bit overgrown but easy to hack back or let your horses tidy them up.

We were there with our dogs in May and it’s lovely and quiet. The horse camping is overgrown so it needs some horses to come and munch 😆. It is still functioning but it would be great if more horses would come and use it!

I was there (not with horses) in early August and the horse corrals are wildly overgrown, fences are falling and the camp host said there is almost no trails because Zajac Ranch won't allow public use on theirs.

Trails at the moment are unmarked. There is the beach to ride which connects to trails on both sides of the camp road. The Stave West Leadership Team is working with user groups and RSTBC to come up with a trails plan.

I believe that there will be a $2/per horse corral/night fee as well as the $15 camping fee. This is to cover maintenance costs of the corral, manure handling and non-potable horse water delivery.
