Pine Marten campsite

Horse Camping Site
Pine Marten Campsite is a remote, equestrian-friendly site accessed via the BT500 logging road off Big Tree Main from Highway 19. Located about 21 km along the Salmon Brewster Trail Corridor, it is the most remote of the three horse camps and offers a true wilderness experience. The site is first-come, first-served and sits roughly one-third of the way between Memekay and Brewster camps. Direct trail access runs both north and south, with Memekay Camp about 13 km north. Please note that the trail corridor is undergoing rehabilitation throughout 2025, and conditions may vary. Before planning a trip along the full corridor, riders are encouraged to check updates on the Back Country Horsemen–NVI Facebook page. Additional resources, including maps and files, are available in the Upload/Download section. For navigation, the Avenza Maps app (free to download) offers a geo-referenced map titled Horse Council BC Salmon Brewster Horse Corridor Trail from RSTBC.
