Cowboy Mounted Shooters Association of BC

If you are looking for a sport straight out of the old Western movies, this is it. Cowboy Mounted shooting is a timed event. It uses a set of 10 balloons attached to stands, set in one of more than 50 approved patterns. A rider uses two .45 caliber, single action revolvers, each carrying five rounds of blanks that have an effective range of 10-15 feet. Mounted shooting requires multiple skills, as it relies not only on the horses' speed and riders horsemanship, but also the riders shooting skills and accuracy.

Creston Valley Society for Therapeutic Horsemanship

As a Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) full member centre, the CVSTH Therapeutic Riding Program offers riding lessons to folks of all ages and abilities who need to ride for therapeutic benefit. Our lesson program runs Monday through Friday, April through October. An Annual Open Benefit Show is held in early June.
