Canadian Horse Heritage & Preservation Society
Welcome to Canadian Horse Heritage and Preservation Society. We welcome both owners and admirers of the breed, from any geographic location, regardless of whether or not you own a Canadian Horse of your own. Our objectives are to help preserve the traditional type of Canadian Horse, to educate ourselves and others about the breed and to sponsor relaxed, fun events which help to foster the above.
Purposes of the society are to foster and promote the preservation of the qualities that define the Canadian Horse: type, temperament, hardiness and versatility. As a trusted independent, unbiased source of Canadian Breed Information, we strive to expand the knowledge and skills of Canadian Horse Owners, breeders, and admirers to ensure responsible stewardship. Provide for our members and the public, through events, educational sessions and publications, a greater understanding of the Canadian Horse. Encourage exchange of information and formal liaisons with other organizations in the horse industry. Recognize the unique heritage and contribution of the Canadian Horse to the History of North America and the development of other breeds.

Desert Park Exhibition Society
Desert Park Equine Facility and Racetrack offers self horse-boarding, spring training for racehorses and various events. Amenities available to members are a large arena, 5/8 mile racetrack, full service horseman's RV park and miles of trails. The facility is available for horse shows, clinics and other events. Desert Park is also home to Desert Dogs Agility, Sun Hills Riding Centre and is an animal evacuation site for ALERT.

The Garnett Valley Gang rob the passengers of the Kettle Valley steam train. in a re-enactment train robbery. This is a charity event that takes place approximately 14 times over the summer.

We're a multidisciplinary club welcoming all levels and ages of riders. We have categories from leadline through senior. Our club hosts 7 Gymkhanas a year from April through October. Every Gymkhana we have 6 events including, barrels, poles, stakes, keyhole, flags and a "surprise" pattern. Join us for a fun day of games on horseback!
Kelowna Riding Club
Kelowna Riding Club is a club for all disciplines. We have a 10 acre facility that includes a dressage ring, two large multi-discipline rings, a lunge ring and stables. We have several membership categories for riders and non-riders, plus equestrians can drop-in to ride with a signed waiver for a $25 fee. The club hosts a number of clinics, shows and educational opportunities each year and both the historic clubhouse and the grounds are available for rentals by the community. Old Friends Canada Society
We are a refuge to horses, donkies and mules, needing a second chance. For most of our equids this is their "forever home". We also provide clinics on driving and schooling dressage shows. There are a number of volunteers who help with feeding, cleaning and grooming. For some, it is a place for them to heal along with our Old Friends.

Wild Hearts Thoroughbred Adoption Society is a registered charity committed to providing aftercare for retiring thoroughbred racehorses. This includes providing transitioning following AAEP from the track, rehabilitation where needed, basic retraining and vetting/matching/placing into forever adoptive homes, as well as providing ongoing followup.
